Limited edition print of “Point Lobos Abstract” which was photographed at the Point Lobos Reserve located on a peninsula south of Monterey, CA. The reserve is 5.36 square miles and home to Monterey Cypress which are unique to the area. The Point Lobos print is created from separate photographs of cypress trees in the area. It looks at changes to the coastal cypress landscape as abstracted motion over time. The dynamic treatment of foliage creates tumultuous motion in the tradition of J.M. William Turner’s treatment of landscape, and it attempts to capture the accelerating effects of changes to this unique environment.
